Questions We Get A Lot

I’ve never needed glasses, why do I need an eye exam?
Eye exams are an important part of your overall preventative healthcare. Regular eye exams give Dr Haloua a chance to test for and detect eye-related health issues at their earliest stage, when they’re most treatable. Dr Haloua conducts an array of tests to make sure your vision is clear and your eyes are healthy.

I’ve never worn contact lenses; can you help me?
Absolutely. After finding the best contact lens fit for your eye, Dr Haloua will teach you how to safely insert, remove, store and care for your contact lenses. After your appointment, you’ll go home with contact lens trials so you can try the product before purchasing. Contact lenses may seem daunting, but we will help you through the process no matter what stage of life you are in.

How do your contact lens prices compare to online vendors?
Except for on very rare occasions, our prices are cheaper or the same. We will help you uncover and submit any manufacturer’s rebates available. Unlike online vendors, we will help you recycle and even exchange your unused and unopened boxes for your new prescription (restrictions apply).

How long will it take for my glasses to be ready?
Glasses are bespoke. Depending on the combination of frame and lens chosen, the time to produce them varies. For faster turnaround, we cut lenses on the premises with state-of-the-art equipment. We strive to complete every order as fast as possible with an average turnaround time of 7-10 business days. However, in certain situations, we may even be able to complete the job within 24-48 business hours.

Do you take my insurance?
We accept VSP and EyeMed’s Access Network directly.
For all other insurance plans, we will fill out the necessary forms and request reimbursement on your behalf. There’s nothing for you to do! We file all the claims and the insurance company will send your reimbursement pursuant to the plan schedule.

What are my reimbursement benefits?
Each insurance plan is different. Prior to your appointment, we will locate your insurance plan to request reimbursement. We will need the Name, Birthday, and last 4 digits of the SSN of the primary insured. Most insurances provide a reimbursement schedule beforehand.
